    Yesterday evening, following a nice 2 hour queue to sign in (damn carebear tourists got through!), I needed an event I became not exactly expecting from DarkFall; I did fun carrying out a PvE dungeon run. Don’t get too excited yet carebears, the dungeon seriously isn’t an instance and allows identical open PvP/looting which the rest of DF allows. Actually it encourages it a little more, since people deep in the dungeon may very well have better loot on them.

    Who can help to localize communities in DarkFall.Progressing to the dungeon portal is definitely an interesting adventure itself. The portal is situated in the middle of a big creator-like area inaccessible from the sides. The only way in is to leap down a big waterfall, swim underwater to some cave below the mountain, catch your inhale an pocket, and again swim under another underwater passage to finally immerge from the creator.

    Areas just outside the dungeon incorporates a good variety of mid-level mobs, including some giant skeletons and bone lords. Once inside, you fight some vampire-like mobs and more skeletons.Only a few room comes complete with mobs. The mobs have a possible opportunity to drop some nice loot, along with the regular variety of regents and vendor junk (vendors buy from you near to nothing correctly though, cheap bastards). Of real interest is the one chest found in the dungeon, which if people has a key (low chance random drop), can open it up for 2000 gold and many nice gear. Also found in the dungeon is a ‘public’ chest that everyone can prepared to take find some good minor loot. I do believe tummy works over a personal timer, however , not 100% on that.

    Darkfall is down for that expansion patch.Our guild went in 10 strong, which meant all others avoided us once we were making our way over so we had a simple 30 minute trip. Once inside, we found 3 players farming a few of the mobs, in case seeing our group they quickly selected and left (we didn’t actually attack them when they were blue to us). Even blue, I’m guessing they picked leaving with their current loot rather than risking getting dropped. Smart move, considering we had been discussing ganking them if they wouldn’t leave since they were messing with ‘our’ mobs. The mobs were overall rather easy since we’d 10 players, but we still needed to be careful since mobs possess a opportunity to insta-kill you (normally you drop down and bleed, giving others to be able to revive you), no one wanted a 30 minute run back. As one of our members had a key, we popped the chest area and collected the 2000 gold to set towards our guild town. Loot when you anyone who needed any, wonderful crafting/regents going to the guild bank. No need for a DKP system here. We ended the trip by killing a random player inside, who we thought had come in to open the 2000g chest. Summary: That is all made a bit more difficult because in DarkFall dungeons (or mob camps as an example) aren’t marked by any means other than when you’re checking portal, so without some exploration you might never want to actually jump down and swim. http://dlvr.it/2mM6SV
